Whatsaap has now introduced the ability to pin up to three messages within a chat

WhatsApp has revealed that users now have the option to pin up to three messages in a chat for easier access. Previously, users were limited to pinning just one message atop a conversation with a contact or a group.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and WhatsApp head Will Cathcart both announced this feature on their respective WhatsApp Channels. The chat app initially introduced the capability to pin messages in one-on-one and group conversations back in December.

This new feature allows users to pin various types of messages, including text, images, and polls. Pinning messages can prove particularly handy for swiftly accessing important information, such as a friend’s address or the location of a planned group outing.

To pin a message, users need to press and hold on it and then choose “Pin” from the menu. Additionally, users can specify the duration for which the message remains pinned: 24 hours, 7 days (the default choice), or 30 days. This feature enables users to unpin messages when they become irrelevant on certain days.

However, there isn’t an option to permanently pin a message, such as an address. Therefore, users will need to re-pin the message after 30 days. Alternatively, they can “Star” a message and access it through the contact information menu.
